Trip starts with a boat transport into camp. Our passion is kayaking but our wildlife encounters and observations often put a special spin to this three day trip. Our "Orca Galore Adventure," is our shorter trip groups of friends who want a short trip.. One well established island base camp is used on each of these trips and might be combined with our four day trips. Our camp allows us to stay in comfort.
Highlights include watching whales from your tent platform and kayaking in sheltered waters in sessions to include all the family members. This makes your trip a relaxing experience with the chance of spontaneous wildlife sighting during the day of evenings. Our location offers a great base to experience casual encounters with a constant flow of wildlife and offers a quick entry for our sea kayaks. Camp offers a comfortable glamping experience regardless of the weather. Each trip profiles kayaking, rainforest walks and experience with wildlife.
Eagles, Ravens and a large number of waterfowl visit the waters close to our camp. Close observations can be made from land. We are away from camp most of the three days you are with us....paddling along the traveling routes of orcas, sea lions and humpback whales. Land based activities enhance our chances of seeing local eagles, sea otters and coastal deer.
It might be possible to see seven species of marine mammals, eagles, ravens, bears and a large number of water fowl without using binoculars. Land based whale watching is often a daily occurrence from our island base camp. There is alway opportunities to take memorable pictures and videos.
